Preschool

Our Program

Washington Elementary Preschool students attend five days a week for a half day. Sessions run from either 8:15 AM – 11:00 AM or 12:30 PM – 3:15.

Eligibility

Children who turn 4 on or before September 15 of the year are eligible for our 4-year-old preschool. If your child turns 5 on or prior to September 15, they are not eligible for preschool, but would be eligible for our Begindergarten or Kindergarten program. Click on the Begindergarten link at the right for additional details on Begindergarten

Resources & Skills

Our preschool curriculum is play-based and utilizes educational resources from Creative Curriculum and The Erickson Institute, as well as educational principles from Waldorf and Montessori. Our approach focuses on strengthening your child’s social and emotional skills, their positive interactions with others, independence, and pre-academic skills. We feel confident our program will create a positive foundation for your child’s educational future.

Child Care Needed?

If your family needs child care and would like to utilize our Kids Club program, then your child will be enrolled in the PM preschool program. Kids Club for preschool students is offered 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM for a fee.  Please refer to the Kids Club web page for details.
